Art as Propaganda Workshop Series
Saturday, February 27, 2-4pm
Propaganda Art in Theory and Practice + Stencil Workshop
(Anita O’Shea and Rachel Steinbeisser of Radical Women)
Drawing from Leon Trotsky's writings on Art and Revolution, join a
discussion on the motivations for revolutionary propaganda art, with
examples from feminist and international revolutionary artists. The
workshop will also feature a demonstration of stencil-making, and
participants will make templates to use on the street, t-shirts, and
posters.
Location: New Valencia Hall, 625 Larkin St, Suite 202, San Francisco.
The fee is $10-20 sliding scale, materials included, no one turned

About the Art as Propaganda Workshop:
Radical Women hosts a revolutionary workshop series that explores the
interconnections between art and activism. Each month we’ll learn a
different skill and history of a radical movement, with an opportunity
for participants to create art for a specific community action. Newbie
and experienced artists and activists all welcome.
