Demand full funding for public education! Students, teachers, workers and families from many southeast area public schools, City College, and UESF are gathering at 3pm at 24th & Mission, and marching through the Mission to the State Bldg (505 Van Ness) to join additional K-12 schools, and on to the 5pm Civic Center mass rally of parents, educators and students from all levels of public education and all over the City.

It always amazes me to see these announcements in English and Spanish when by far the largest immigrant population is Asian, mostly Chinese. Unofficially, Asian Americans are 30% according to the 2000 census; in reality and probably according to the 2010 census, Asian Americans are 50% of San Francisco's population. As to the school population:
41% are Asian American (with 32% being Chinese American), 13% African American, 22% Latino, 9% white and 12% other.
