March begins at Roosevelt Park, 21st and Santa Clara Sts, San Jose. Ends at Biblioteca Latinoamericana, 921 S. First St. Festival takes place at the Biblioteca.
Join us in downtown San Jose on Saturday, March 6 for a day in solidarity with the struggles of women around the world! Marching under the banner of "Womyn Unite..." , we want to envision the liberation of all women through the spiritual, individual, professional, and community levels as we continue to fight for social change.
The march begins at 11 am at Roosevelt Park, 21st and Santa Clara Streets and proceeds along Santa Clara to First Street then goes down First to the Biblioteca Latinoamericana at 921 S. First St. The Festival, with music and cultural performances and a Resource Fair, will be held at the Biblioteca from 1 to 4 pm.
All women and men are invited to join the march and attend the free festival. Wear purple, bring your signs and banners and make this a joyous day of sisterhood and solidarity!
Participating organizations include: Cihuatl Tlatocan, Filipino Community Support of Silicon Valley (FOCUS-SV), Silicon Valley Debug, San Jose Peace and Justice Center, San Jose Code Pink, SJSU Wowi (Womyn on Womyn’s Issues), Santa Clara County Commission on the Status of Women, LGBTQ Youth Space, SOMOS Mayfair, WOmen's International League for Peace & Freedom.
