La Pelanga crew is bringing the legendary East Oakland party back to SF. La Pelanga is the only party that cooks up raw cumbia, salsa dura, high-life, dancehall, hip-hop, soukous, Haitian kompa, reggaeton, afrobeat, merengue, makossa, and much more.
Deejays: Posoule, Papicultor, China tu Madre, and Juancho 3000 with special guests BRWN BFLO fresh from their sold-out taco truck tour!
Also prints for sale from renowned East Oakland artist Favianna Rodriguez plus Pelanga CDs, shirts and more.
100% of all money raised will go to Partners in Health (PIH), an aid agency with more than twenty years experience in Haiti. PIH has over 4,000 Haitian employees, and has supplemented this staff with 60 international orthopedic and trauma surgeons flown in to aid relief efforts.
