Sustainable San Rafael presents a first hand account from United Nations Climate Delegate Jon Elam on ‘What Really Happened in Copenhagen and What Do We Do Next?’, followed by a free showing of the new climate film extravaganza, ‘The Age of Stupid.’
Mr. Elam, General Manager of the Tamalpais Community Service District, has long experience in climate issues and was a member of the California delegation at December’s U.N. climate talks in Copenhagen. ‘The Age of Stupid’ dramatically depicts recent failures to reduce carbon pollution from the perspective of a year 2055 world devastated by irreversible climate change.
The evening will include discussion of what Marin residents, businesses and communities can do to meet the challenge of reducing carbon emissions by ten percent in each of the next ten years. Co-sponsored by Sustainable San Rafael, Sustainable Marin, the Marin Youth Center and Ecos Circles. Donations welcome.
