HOLIDAY SHOPPERS AT ARDEN MALL SUNDAY
WILL BE HIT BY REALITY OF THE GAZA WAR
THAT KILLED HUNDREDS OF CHILDREN
SACRAMENTO – Holiday shoppers at Sacramento's largest shopping
mall will be met with a major demonstration Sunday about the
horrors of war – in conjunction with protests around the world –
on the one-year anniversary of Israel's 3-week attack against the
people of Gaza.
The rally will be held SUNDAY, 1-3 p.m. at Arden Fair Mall, Arden
& Heritage entrance.
Renowned South African jurist Richard Goldston produced an
independent report recently which detailed gross human rights
violations and war crimes by both Israel and Hamas in Gaza last
year which killed more than 1,400 people, one-third of them
children. Over 5,000 people were wounded.
The report was especially critical of Israel, calling the
military campaign "a deliberately disproportionate attack
designed to punish,, humiliate and terrorize a civilian population."
The longtime economic blockade of Gaza, or siege, was also
criticized by the author of the report, calling it "collective
punishment" with no "military objective."
