We're very pleased to inform you that Cinema Libre's documentary The End of Poverty? has been held over a third week, December 18-25 at San Francisco's Four Star Theater, 2200 Clement Street.
Q & A with Executive Producer
This is the most provocative film about systemic poverty this past decade. The explanation for poverty is nothing new--colonialism and economic colonialism--, but the film boldly proposes solutions. Ones which rankle a good many Marxists and "Capitalists." There is a third way free of condemning private property which unsettles usual patterns of thought.
Land reform placing actual users in possession rather than mere rent seekers.
The end of natural resource privatization.
Shift of taxes off of production onto land ownership and other monopoly property.
The forgiveness of developing nation international debt.
The film's Executive Producer Ass't speaks after the Friday and Saturday night, December 18 and 19 screenings.
