Business Building Occupation at San Francisco State University

by Luz Clemente
Students occupied the business building this morning at San Francisco State University. The students are protesting the budget cuts, fee increases, lay offs in the public sector, and privatization of public education. They are still occupying as of 2:10 PM and plan on staying until their demands have met. While police intimidation in the morning has been relatively lax as of now, students plan on defending the space in the instance that there is an attempt to forcibly evict the occupiers. All day students outside have rallied in support, demonstrated with music, held hands in unity, and debated some right-wing business students. OCCUPY EVERYTHING

Looking good, towards the new society controlled by the students, workers and peasants. Now comes the hardest part, trying to hold it so the edu. can become really free and available to all who can benefit. Occupations are the beginnings of the new society, and revolutionary, but holding them is something else. Watch out for the armed violence of the state, usually the overthrown class of reaction uses its state to expel the new society before it can defend itself thoroughly, and consolidate its victories. Cuba has free medicine, education, and work for all, which is something new and worthwhile. Stop the blockade and free the Cuban five. Workers of the world, unite!!

We wish to extend our solidarity to the students, faculty, staff, and especially the occupiers of the business building at SF State! The CSUs and Junior/Community Colleges are where we're hurting the hardest, and where we must push back with the most force. We held a 200-person rally in the quad of CSU Stanislaus today, marched through the main Administration building, rallied on street corner, and returned to the administration building and held a sit-in for half an hour before leaving of our own accord.

STRIKE // OCCUPY // TAKEOVER EVERYTHING (especially at the CSUs & CCs!)

The San Francisco Model:

Solidarity from Puerto Rico, from the students of the university of Puerto Rico and others universitys to the workers, people and students of the beautiful city of San Francisco. We the people, workers and students of Puerto Rico have somethingin common with you and is that we been goberned by a inept republican governor that only spit privatization and the shock treatment and we puertoricans(workers, people and students) are facing budget cuts, fee increases and massive lay offs in the public sector and they are setting the stage for privatization of public education by yours charters schools, students organizations and workers unions are cooking a general strike to begin in january and we need all your solidarity in this rough times that is coming ahead and we are sure that the repression will escalate and not long ago we have a case of police brutality in main avenue of the university of Puerto Rico as warning to the students that big brother are wachting you, so please wacht the events that will follow, we are wachting very close the events in California like the students campus takeovers and the the students campus takeovers Germany and Austria so we can learn of thats struggles so goodbye and OCCUPY EVERYTHING.
