People with Autism Spectrum Disorders are 7 times more likely to be abused by police.
These are promotional fliers for Autism Awareness training in Berkeley. The front sides of the fliers reflect current societal phobias regarding people with Autism disorders, and the disproportionately negative encounters Autistics have with police. The imagery is borrowed from 80s-era X-Men comics.
On the back sides of the fliers, people are asked to encourage educational training for police by contacting:
BPD Chief Michael Meehan: 510.981.5900
Police Review Commission: 510.981.4950
Berkeley Mayor Tom Bates: 510.981.7100
