Rally & Hearing to Bring Just Cause Eviction Protections to Everyone

12:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Location Details:
SF City Hall steps (rally)
Rm. 263 (board of supes hearing)

The Supervisors Land Use Committee will hold its (hopefully) final hearing on legislation which would bring just cause eviction protections to all tenants. Tenants in some 20,000 units, mostly in buildings built after 1979, do not have these most basic protections. Join us for a rally and press conference next Monday, Dec. 7 at 12 noon on the steps of City Hall (Civic Center side) and then come to the hearing in Room 263 of City Hall at 1:00 PM (we really need tenants to attend and testify).

And Save December 14 To Help Stop Evictions of Children:
Sup. Eric Mar’s legislation to ban landlord or owner move in evictions of children will be back before the Land Use Committee on Monday, December 14 at 1 PM in Room 263 of City Hall. This legislation got slowed as the City Attorney took awhile to draft a clarifying amendment. Here, too, we’ll need lots of tenants to attend and testify so we can give kids an eviction-free Christmas
