Climate Justice Fast

The United Nation's Conference of the Parties will come together to discuss Climate Change policy, December 7th through the 18th, in Copenhagen, Denmark. This is know as the Cop15

This is the perfect opportunity for our leaders of the world to make commitments on science-based emission reductions that can be formed into a fair, ambitious, and binding treaty next year.

Starting on November 6th with the end of the UN Climate Change talks in Barcelona, activists across the planet we began an international hunger strike, The Climate Justice Fast.

The Climate Justice Fast includes 22 countries, with fasts taking place in India, the USA, the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Bhutan, The Philippines, Germany, France, Honduras and inside the Copenhagen conference itself.

The Climate Justice Fast hopes the courage of our activists will inspire all nations and all global citizens to come together to equitably solve climate change.

People are dying of hunger caused by Global Climate Change everyday. There is no time to waste in addressing Global Climate Change! The time is now for ACTION!

Join us on December 6th, the Sunday before the climate meetings begin in Copenhagen at UN Plaza, San Francisco for an afternoon of fun without food!

Let's show the world San Francisco's solidarity with the 10 long-term hunger strikers and the 100s of other solidarity fasters across the planet!

You can always just show up to join in on the fun!

We will have some music to keep us motivated, have some information about the problem, can share ideas about solutions, and just enjoy the fact we're alive!
