A SHAKTI SOULSTICE CELEBRATION is an enchanting evening honoring the goddess cosmos energies of birth, deliverance, creation, manisfestation, giving, origination, existence and the creative spirit inherent in all women. Please come out and celebrate local women poets, writers, musicians, and artists and support Berkeley’s newest and coolest and most psychedelic art gallery, which gives space and preference to local artists.
A SHAKTI SOULSTICE features the bay’s finest female voices that ring out pleasure and pain, love and lust, the wicked and wise, ecstasy and energy, jump for joy and join an enthusiastic audience to celebrate the birth of another mother earth new beginning, smiling at the arrival of 2010. Come celebrate originality, re-birth and co-creation with us!
SHAKTI SOULSTICE is:
ava bird: poet, rhymes the radical!
akasa: shamanic enchantress
kayla sussell: funny, serious, sometimes sour at 77!

laura riggs: architect, writer
La Tigresa: author, activist, performer
steffysue on the yuke: ukulele strummer songstress
may garsson: sassy, serious yet funny
420 special: honoring the sacred prayer time
