How Social Movements in Latin America Resist Privatization of Water
The speaker, Jeff Conant, is the International Research and Communications Coordinator of Food & Water Watch and liaison to the Red Vida, a coalition of water rights groups active throughout the Americas. He authored the book A Community Guide to Environmental Health, a popular education manual to assist communities worldwide in protecting their rights to a healthy, safe environment. Jeff also publishes articles, essays, and reviews in a variety of print and online publications, and has contributed chapters to books on globalization,water issues, and culture.
This event is sponsored by The Task Force on the Americas. A $5-10 donation is requested. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
