Dancing the Vision:
Re-Establishing the Sacred Trade Routes Through
Music, Art, & Dance
Nov 22 – Dec 1, 2009.
The Haida of northern British Columbia.
The Maya of Guatemala.
Two great Nations.
One historic event.
Eagle and Raven dance with the Feathered Serpent on the
shores of Guatemala’s sacred Lake Atitlan.
For months Spiritual Leaders of the Maya have gathered in ceremonial preparation to welcome their northern relatives to Guatemala to share the hidden teachings preserved through their traditional arts.
You are invited to participate in this remarkable intertribal cultural and ceremonial exchange between many amazing indigenous artists, musicians, and dancers.
Help us welcome the Haida Gwaii Performing Arts Group of British Columbia and other indigenous artists to the Land of the Feathered Serpent.
Please join us as the ancient sacred trade routes are re-established between major tribes of the North and South.
Celebrate the re-flowering of culture that will inspire you and generations to come!
