Photos And Some Audio From Oct 17th Anti-War Protest in San Francisco
Hundreds of protesters gathered in U.N. Plaza at 11am today to protest the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Contingents focused on issues such as health care reform, Palestine, Labor issues, Socialism and 9/11 conspiracies. Around noon, the crowd of perhaps a few thousand, marched up the sidewalk on Market street and then turned onto 4th and marched back towards U.N. Plaza on Mission St.

I'm starting to think that people who continue to organize protests are actually totally down with our class enemies. But not exactly - they're just in the protest BUSINESS, and they want business to stay healthy. The Guvernator was right when he called protestors "a special interest group." Everyone knows only direct action gets the goods. The excuse that we need a form of protest that even grandmas can join is baloney. When I'm a grandma I look FORWARD to chaining myself to doors and occupying buildings and supporting strikes with material aid.
