Join Single Payer Now, the California Physicians Alliance, and other groups calling on President Obama to throw out the private insurance companies and create one health care system for all Americans based on H.R. 676, the U.S. National Healthcare Act. The president will be speaking at a fundraising dinner at the Westin St. Francis Hotel.

§Big Turnout in Support of Healthcare

Many physicians in attendance wearing their white coats, Billionaires for Wealthcare, Anti-War activists, musicians, and tea-partiers. Greepeace was there with a bright red presence - banners, t-shirts, and signs. The right-wingers or whatever you want to call them seem to be anti-tax. I believe the consensus is however, that we all do need healthcare - the problem is how to pay for it. There is major difference of opinion on this question. I overheard a fellow say, "You need to work for it." I disagree. We need to fight for it!
