Take Local Action on Climate Change

√ Build a community garden with neighbors and make local eating easy, affordable and fun
√ Bike to work and get your coworkers to do the same
√ Weatherstrip your home and watch the gas bill plummet
√ Benefit from the support, encouragement, and fresh ideas of other community members as you reduce your environmental impact

Join a Climate Change Action Group and create an action plan that suits your lifestyle and interests. Get free membership to the Ecology Center if you haven't already been a member, all while reducing your carbon footprint, saving money, and meeting your neighbors.

Upcoming Ecology Center Climate Change Action Groups: Mondays from 6-8pm: October 19, October 26, November 2, November 9

During four weekly sessions, you will work in a team with a small group of Bay Area residents to calculate your carbon footprint, create a measurable personal action plan to reduce your footprint, and make substantive changes in your community. All sessions are held at the Ecology Center, 2530 San Pablo Ave (at Dwight), Berkeley. Participation is free. A $10 fee (at cost) will be charged for the Low Carbon Diet workbook. No one turned away for lack of funds.

Interested in having the Ecology Center facilitate a group at your workplace, in your neighborhood, congregation, school, or with another community group to which you belong? If you have a group of at least 10 interested people who can meet for four consecutive sessions, send us an email and we'll facilitate a group at no cost!

Or get trained to lead your own group! Next facilitator training: Thursday, Oct 29, 6-8:30pm at the Ecology Center.
