The LaborFest Organizing Committee will have a screening of a video on the mass UC Berkeley Strike & Walk-Out and have a discussion about the upcoming 2010 LaborFest events. The event will be held at ILWU Local 34 at 801 2nd St./Embarcadero St. in San Francisco

Over 5,000 workers and students rallied and struck on September 24, 2009 at UC Berkeley. This 25 minute video shows some o the speakers, unionists and students who were part of this historic mass rally and strike.
LaborFest will have a screening of this film followed by a discussion about events and organizing for LaborFest 2010. Next year will be the 75th anniversary of the WPA and the major auto sit-downs that led to the formation of the UAW and the the organization of millions into unions in the United States.
