After this initial morning, it looks like the story of policing at the G20 morphed into one of a huge overstaffed force (with up to 2000 National Guard members) going onto the Univ. Pittsburgh campus and targeting mostly random students just for being on the plaza in front of them. Is it legitimate to see all younger folks or people with dark jackets as a protester and thereby viable for arrest?
In other words, it had many aspects of Kent State (seriously), and the side of WTO Seattle resulting from having new weapons to try and people getting enraged from earlier incitements.
Another interesting angle was the contingent from the libertarian 9-11 Truth movement. They have a history of being antagonistic towards anarchists at some events, calling them provocateurs while they wave the constitution from a paleocon perspective. Some 9-11 Truthers were bullhorning, and it turned out to be remarkably effective agitprop, that few other activists have the nerve for. How did the police decide to give them such an authoritarian backdrop, with the shield tapping?

Here are some videos of the stuff involving the patio of the student dorms:

Woman narrating how she was arrested in above youtube. She was just holding the door open. Other students thought they couldn't be targeted because they weren't doing anything.
