free four-session series and facilitator trainings
Join a Climate Change Action Group! Get free membership to the Ecology Center if you haven't already been a member, all while reducing your carbon footprint, saving money, and meeting your neighbors.
Upcoming Ecology Center Climate Change Action Groups: Tuesdays in October from 6-8pm: October 6, 13, 20 and 27
During four weekly sessions, you will work in a team with a small group of Bay Area residents to calculate your carbon footprint, create a measurable personal action plan to reduce your footprint, and make substantive changes in your community. All sessions are held at the Ecology Center, 2530 San Pablo Ave (at Dwight), Berkeley. Participation is free. A $10 fee (at cost) will be charged for the Low Carbon Diet workbook. No one turned away for lack of funds.
Interested in having the Ecology Center facilitate a group at your workplace, in your neighborhood, congregation, school, or with another community group to which you belong? If you have a group of at least 10 interested people who can meet for four consecutive sessions, send us an email and we'll facilitate a group at no cost!
Already have a low footprint? Receive the tools and training to start your own Climate Change Action Group. Just attend a facilitator training. Then gather 5-10 friends, family members, coworkers, neighbors, classmates, or congregation members and hold a group!
Upcoming Facilitator Trainings: Wednesday,September 30, 6-8:30pm
Trainings are held at the Ecology Center. Write to debra [at] ecologycenter.org or call 510-548-2220 x240 to sign up. RSVP required.
