Farewell to Teddy and a Show Support for the 66 Legislators pleged for Public Option
A Farewell to Teddy with our Thanks and a Show of Support for the 66 Legislators who, so far, have pledged to: No Public Option, No Vote on the Health Care Reform Bill of 2009
On Labor Day 2009: 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Federal Building, 450 Golden Gate San Francisco where House Chairperson, Nancy Pelosi, local offices are located.
We want to tell them that we are in full support of their courageous stand on behalf of the millions and millions without Health Insurance.
For taking a stand on behalf of the millions who have to choose between food and other necessities for themselves and for their families or, pay the high priced premiums and deductibles levied by the Private Health Insurance Industry.
For taking a stand on behalf of the millions who have to choose between paying the high cost of treatments and, or, medical procedures recommended by doctors and when payment for these services are denied by Health Insurance Administrators, or choose to die due to catastrophic untreated illnesses or injuries.
For taking a stand on behalf of the many hundreds of thousands who lack the funds to pay for the high costs of catastrophic illnesses or injuries for them, or for their loved ones, and have to chose between losing their homes or saving a life, and in far too many times, they ended up losing both.
For taking a stand on behalf of the untold number of small and medium size companies, who have to choose between paying the high premiums for their employee's health coverage and going out of business or, lower costs by laying off employees or, terminate altogether health coverage for all of their employees.
For taking a stand on behalf of the tens and tens of millions of workers who have lost, and/or will lose, their health coverage, being unable to pay the high cost of such coverage for themselves and their dependents, will have to live in fear without health insurance coverage, hoping and praying that none of their loved ones, or themselves, gets sick, ill or injured.
For taking a stand on behalf of the millions, upon millions, upon millions who will benefit with the introduction of competition in the Health Insurance Providers Market, which a Public Option would do, and that will help lower the cost of health coverage in addition to help, in no small way, lower our deficit of which the high cost of private health insurance premiums and deductibles, is one of the major contributors to it.
For taking a stand on behalf of all the human lives that a Public Option will improve, heal or save; by placing people's health interests before the Private Health Insurance Companies' profits, salaries and bonuses.
Dear Legislators: We salute you, we applaud you and we support you - making Congresswoman Maxine Waters' words to our President, our own,
we do say to you and to all of the other Democratic Legislators. "Do what you have to do, we got your back!!!"
