It might be entertaining for some people to dress up in costumes but this does not get the job done. If you vote for Democrat-Republicans, you get no healthcare. When you vote for evil, you get evil. Only Peace & Freedom Party and the Green Party support single payer healthcare. For those of us who either have serious unaddressed health problems or are coping with people who have the same, this costume party is a slap in the face. Imagine living with constant pain having to grovel for money to pay for an operation or drugs. This is what people do when they are in serious car accidents, for example. REMINDER TO ALL OF US WHO HAVE THE MISFORTUNE OF LIVING IN THIS BACKWARD COUNTRY: Germany has had national healthcare for 126 YEARS! The rest of the industrialized world and the miserable fiefdom called Israel have healthcare paid for with their tax dollars. And all Americans can do is play dress up to picket a worthless Democrat. ARE YOU GOING TO SPEND THE NEXT 126 YEARS PLAYING DRESS UP OR ARE YOU FINALLY GOING TO VOTE YOUR CONSCIENCE?

I know your hearts are on the right place and god bless you, but you have been trying the same approach with decreasing results for the last 40 years. You have come to embody the tired old left-- self-rightious, has monopoly on the politically correct line, doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results and dry as a burning man lake bed. No you get dour for some folks for using a little humor.

it is sad to see people who can't do anything but complain about their fellow activists. at least the tea party people and the billionaires both showed up, and there were even some larouchians. where was the clown army? why did the green party protester seem to be all by herself?

The presence of the "Billionaires for Wealthcare" at this event could not have been missed by the hundreds in attendance. Perhaps a few didn't take their time to use their intellect and "get it" but then, there will always be those who think Steven Colbert is a funny Conservative.

Billionaires do thank the positive comment from the Clown Army....an army of people who use their intellect for humour and know that humour can make people THINK.

It's absolutely genius this group were able to contrieve such a parody. We certainly got fooled when we first got there. I got into an argument immediately with one of the gal and a minute later, she hinted at me to 'look closer' at the parody. What a great way to make the tea party folks 'eat crow', but then again, some of the tea partyers I tried to carry on a civilized discussion about the issue were't capable of looking beyond their bigotry and indoctrination by the insurance industries. One of them actually tried to convince me that it's a good thing to profit off drug stocks. We handed out the recent Washington Post piece about the 5 myths of the US Health Care debate at this town meeting and number of people were glad to receive them.

There will be a health care townhall meeting with Anna Ashoo next Wednesday(September 2nd) at 7pm at the Gunn High School in Palo Alto. We hope those of you who supports Single Payer will try your best to make it to this meeting. We really need to counteract the morons, and the fence sitters of the Obamaland. We hope the Parody group will attend this upcoming townhall meeting. We need all the ingenuiety and cleverness we can garner to disbuse the propaganda and hyper-disinformation from the media and insurance/pharma industries, as well as the unfortunate reactionary sheeps out there.

No one is proposing FREE health care!! None of the other industrialized countries who cover everyone has a free system.
In most of them employees and employers pay into the system. Here those funds would be added to the current federal and state programs, Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP,etc. to pay for privately delivered care. That's how Medicare works.

Those countries have better outcomes, no bankruptcies, no pre-exisiting conditions, no uninsured, no under-insured due to high premiums/pre-existing conditions, no denial of care, recissions,(both of which are forms of rationing) etc. We spend twice as much as any other country and have poorer outcomes. What's wrong with this picture? Don't think that your insurance will cover your total bill if you end up with a catastrophic accident or illness. None of that can be predicted.
There are many websites out there with the accurate info. Nothing in life is free!
