Local activist Oskar Mosquito will embark on a 3500-mile bike ride to hand-deliver a national petition demanding President Obama set a national emissions target prior to attending the UN Climate Change Conference later this year. At sundown on Thursday, August 27, 2009, a rally will be held on Ocean Beach to collect signatures for a petition calling on the President to use science and not politics when negotiating a global emissions target. Tacos will be provided by Bernardo’s, a vegetarian Mexican catering service.
