Eyewitness Gaza: Breaking the Siege
At the beginning of this year, the United States and Israel launched a murderous campaign in Gaza that left over 1,300 Palestinians dead, among them 420 children. After the Zionists were forced to pull back due to a solid Palestinian resistance that was embraced by the people, the United States, working with its regional allies, continued the assault by imposing a vicious blockade on Gaza, preventing the Palestinians from rebuilding and threatening the lives of the entire population by cutting off access to food and medicine.
In July, a delegation from the United States successfully broke the siege on Gaza and delivered tens of thousands of dollars worth of medical aid to their Palestinian sisters and brothers.
Two ANSWER organizers, Iraq war veteran Michael Prysner and award-winning filmmaker Travis Wilkerson, participated in the Viva Palestina convoy that challenged the blockade. Come hear these organizers and other members of the delegation speak about their experiences.
• Eyewitness testimony from activists who broke the Gaza siege
• Original footage from Gaza shot by filmmaker Travis Wilkerson
• See slide show of excellent photos from Gaza
• Discuss the real story of Palestinian heroism and suffering
$5-$10 donation (no one turned away for lack of funds)
