Science by the People and a Vision of a New Global Order
An Indian Scientific Worker’s Perspective and Practice

A discussion with Professor A. P. Shukla

The present crisis of the global economy has alarmed all of us to an uncertain future. The source of the trouble is in a globalization aimed at increasing the profit of capital. Globalization should be based on the healthy, authentic nature-integrated universal science and labor.

Prof. Shukla is an activist, writer and founder of Jan Vigyan Samiti and a leading figure in India’s People’s Science Movement (PSM). A former professor of Physics at IIT Kanpur, Prof. Shukla has made significant contributions to the philosophy of People’s Science and has been active in labor movements and alternative development in India.
