Please Re-post!

This Sunday, August 2nd, is the next gathering of local social justice activists and organizers at the Peace and Justice Center (467 Sebastopol Ave.) in Santa Rosa. As always, this is a space for people interested or already involved in local activism to hear from other groups about all the many activities going on right on in our communities and solicit support from other groups. Also, continuing last month's discussion, we will be talking about organizing a tour of Sonoma County highlighting the many progressive/radical spaces and the history of achievements of local organizers. This will be a way for different groups to collaborate and include their own histories in the event. Lastly, we wanted to begin a discussion on the shared values and the mission of these monthly gatherings. Although these meeting began as a project of IMPACT!, we would like it to have a more autonomous structure with its own goals and values. In order to do this, we need to have a comprehensive discussion about why we are doing this and in what direction this effort is heading.
This Sunday's meeting will be the first that no members of IMPACT! will be attending. However, several people have offered to faciltate and promote the meeting, so we have faith that everything will go normally and smoothly.

We hope that many of you come to participate this Sunday in the building of a stronger social movement in Sonoma County.

In Solidarity,
Carl, IMPACT!
