It's 40 years since the Stonewall riots, time to celebrate the radical politics of the queer liberation movement!!

Join us for an evening of words & music featuring Gay Liberation Front veteran Tommi Avicolli Mecca, editor of Smash the Church, Smash the State and enjoy performances by some of the Bay Area's most rebellious cultural workers, including Annie Danger, Dani Montgomery, Erica Benton, Lil Miss Hot Mess, James Tracy, Maria Poblet, Malaya Arevalo, Merle Woo, Paola Bacchetta, Thisway/Thatway, and Tina Bartolome.

This event will benefit SOUL, the School Of Unity & Liberation. SOUL is proud to build the skills of young women, young people of color, working class, and queer people as the next generation of leaders in the social justice movement. The main gallery at Galería de la Raza is wheelchair accessible; the restrooms are not. For more information & to RSVP please contact SOUL at info [at] schoolofunityandliberation.org.

As long as queer people are homeless, hungry and without jobs or medical coverage, as long as LGBT workers don't receive a living wage, as long as the wealth of this country is in the hands of a few, as long as the means of production are owned by that very same monied class, we queers will never truly have achieved what gay liberation set out to do four decades ago.
