We walk past places in Santa Cruz every day that are charged with racial history. Hear stories you might not have heard, learn and acknowledge some of the events that shaped Santa Cruz, with info about the Water Street bridge lynching, arson on Front Street, the Mission's ominous place on the hill, China Beach, the Flats as a permanent and intentional ghetto, fights over development and integration,... all this and more, on August 1st.
