Every July day has Laborfest events, some of which are missing from the red letter listings. This "al fresco" textbook for all of us will teach the importance of a general strike which we need to put an end to the profit motive that is the cause of the budget "crisis" and war. On July 18 at 8 p.m. your chance to be creative and enjoy other people's songs and poetry for labor, peace and all other good causes is at the Song & Poetry Swap of the Freedom Song Network, a favorite with everyone.

For over 20 years, the Freedom Song Network has been helping keep alive the spirit of labor and political song in the Bay Area, on picket lines, at rallies, on concert stages and at song swaps. Bring songs or poems to share to this free event. Everyone is welcome, regardless of musical ability or training.
