Every July day has Laborfest events, some of which are missing from the red letter listings. This "al fresco" textbook for all of us will teach the importance of a general strike which we need to put an end to the profit motive that is the cause of the budget "crisis" and war. On Saturday, July 18, the David Rovics Concert provides culture and community, both necessary to the struggle.

He is a prolific writer and his voice and words have hit home about the rights of immigrants, the need to defend the environment and against the corporations that are destroying the earth. The 400 North Point hall is the big ILWU hall, so let's fill it up with voices of solidarity for humanity and planet earth.
