TRANSITION TO SUSTAINABILITY
Presented by AshEL Eldridge
Are you concerned about the sustainability of our food, energy, and economic systems? Do you have a nagging doubt about the resilience of our communities? Do you feel sad about the way resources are distributed in our world, with some consuming exponentially more than they need? Would you like to live a simpler life style more connected to your neighbors and community? Are you interested in meeting other people who want to plan together to transition to a less complex, more interconnected way of life?
Join with Transition East Bay this evening for a light potluck supper, a screening of the new film, "FRESH ─ New Thinking about What We're Eating," and an open space networking time. Imagine participating in a Transition Town. Transition Towns are about sustainable living in the face of climate change, peak oil, and economic collapse, and having fun while doing it! Meet others interested in local currency, permaculture, energy descent planning, garden registry, food security, any and all forms of social sustainability. We are all crew members on Spaceship Earth. Can we create a new world together, starting with a new town right here, one that is based on holding everyone's needs with care?
Wheelchair accessible around the corner at 411 28th Street
$5 donations are accepted
