555 Main St. in Watsonville
4-6pm: Cuba filmfest inside and bus painting outside
8pm: Presentation w/ caravanistas, Q&A , and Potluck
3 Good reasons to attend!
1. This is your opportunity to meet the Caravanistas who will challenge the ban on travel to Cuba this year. They will carry the tools and medical supplies we’ve donated across the border in defiance of the inhumane and out-dated blockade of Cuba by our government.
2. You can send a message of friendship to the Cuban people by adding your artistic touch to the painting of the bus.
3. You can learn more about the Brown Berets, the Bicycle Shak, and what they’re doing to educate and empower youth in their community.
A HUGE shout out to Desi, Elijah, their students, and all the other members of the Community Renovation Project out of Oakland for painting one side of our bus bound for Cuba. Photos attached below!
Come help us paint the other side!!!
