Banks Got Bailed Out, Workers Got Sold Out!
No To The Sell Out At Quad City Die Casting!
Protest at Wells Fargo Corporate HQ
420 Montgomery St., SF
July 10 at 12 PM
Wells Fargo got $25 billion in taxpayer bailout money, supposedly to help workers and businesses make it through the recession. But instead of doing the right thing, they are putting good jobs at risk by cutting lines of credit to viable companies. In Moline, Illinois, Quad City Die Casting, a 60 year old family-run business faces shutdown because Wells Fargo withdrew financing. Now, the fate of one hundred jobs depend on the actions of Wells Fargo as the company's primary creditor.
The business is viable and is exactly the type of firm federal bailout money was meant to help. Workers at Quad City are doing everything possible to save their jobs. But Wells Fargo wants to sell this factory off to some company that will just shut the factory down and put the workers out on the street.
Bay Area Quad City Solidarity Committee invites everyone to picket Wells Fargo this Friday at noon to tell Wells Fargo that selling out the workers of Quad City is unacceptable. Hoarding tax payer money instead of putting it to good use is blatant hypocrisy. Come and demand that Wells Fargo restore Quad City Die Casting’s financing at once.
