If the summer's myriad of food festivals and wine-enthused weekends have your pockets feeling a little bit run down, there is a fun and free option.
Slow Food San Francisco is pleased to invite all members and anyone interested in the Slow Food movement to an informative potluck dinner on Saturday, July 25th at Fort Mason Center's Golden Gate room. You can dust off your kitchen commander skills by whipping up something delightfully delicious to share with your neighbor all in the name of what is good, clean and fair. In light of suggestions made at our potluck held last winter we invite you all to type the recipes and/or ingredients on a 3 X 5 index card and place it in front of the food item that you bring. Please keep in mind that doing so is completely optional.
This potluck will serve as a way to reach out to all veteran, new and perspective Slow Food members. We will have an information table set up for you to learn about all of the continuing programs as well as upcoming events such as the National Eat In scheduled for September 7th.
Since this event is free and the location has a maximum capacity of 200, we are requiring an RSVP in order to hold your place. That being said, if you have responded 'yes' but find that you are unable to attend the dinner, please be sure to cancel your reservation.
If you have any specific questions about Slow Food or the San Francisco convivium, or ideas you'd like to have discussed, please write your request on an index card and bring it to the event where we will have a designated suggestion box set up.
We are trying to grossly reduce the overhead cost of throwing small events. Therefore in order for this event to remain free we are asking all of you to bring the following: - One Dish To Share (side dish, entree or dessert) - Your Own Eating Utensils (plate, silverware, cup - preferably not paper as we are trying to reduce waste)**
If you are not yet a member of Slow Food San Francisco, this is a great time to join. But please note that you DO NOT have to be a member of Slow Food San Francisco to come to this event.
** For those of you who forget to bring your own we will have a very limited supply of eco-friendly plate options.
Please RSVP due to limited space
