The late Shirley Thurston Lee was active for over four decades in the labor, anti-war and social justice movements. She will be better remembered by her fellow union activists as "Shirley Thurston". Whether serving on local union committees or running for U.S. Senate as the Peace and Freedom Party candidate, Shirley was always ready to do her bit, large or small.
