The 20th Pastors for Peace Friendshipment to Cuba which will be stopping in Fresno. Several people from the Fresno area will be joining them at this point. The speaker coming with the caravanistas will be Alicia Jrapko. Alicia was born and raised in Cordoba, Argentina. In 1976, during the repressive military dictatorship, she was forced to leave her homeland and relocate in the San Francisco Bay Area. Alicia first traveled to Cuba in 1994 with IFCO/Pastors for Peace. Following her return, she became active in the San Francisco Bay Area Friendshipment Committee, a nonprofit organization which supports IFCO/Pastors for Peace projects in Cuba, Chiapas, Mexico and Central America. Alicia later became involved with the National Committee to Free the Five Cubans imprisoned in the United States. She has traveled to Latin America including Mexico, Cuba, Brazil and Argentina and participated in several International Events.
This is a FREE event and will be held at Margaret Hudson's Barn and Garden, 4246 N. Thorne (north off of Ashlan, west of Palm) This event is hosted by the Fresno Center for Nonviolence for.
