Fresno Stonewall Democrats is sponsoring a simulated police raid on a gay bar to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall riots of 1969. The commemoration will take place at the Den which is a bar located at 4538 E Belmont Ave, Fresno CA 93702 http://www.denfresno.com/stonewall40.shtml
This is a fundraising event for the organization. Those “arrested” in the raid will be held for bail in a jail in the parking lot. The public is invited but IDs will be checked for those who wish to enter the bar. E-mail Jay Hubbell at fresnoman4man [at] hotmail.com for more information.
