El Cerrito Plaza main entrance on San Pablo Av. near Macroni's. Join Locals for Peace as we stand in honor of Fathers Day and Dad's not rasing sons for the war machine. Bring your sign or we'll have extras. CHILDREN WELCOME! War is not healthy for children and other living things.
We meet the 3rd Sat. of every month from noon to 1 pm to remind people that nearly a trillion dollars has been spent blowing up Iraq (with a population less than the state of Calif.) and Afghanistand (even fewer people!). As our governor is shutting down our schools, firing teachers, not signing Single Payer health care for all and slashing all safty net budgets, the war gobbles up our tax dollars and resources. Stop the war now
