“Inside Iran & North Korea” Photo Exhibition Opening Reception

Event: All but closed to outside visitors and influence, its public posture guarded and combative, we see almost nothing from inside North Korea. The Islamic Republic of Iran is at the center of world attention politically, socially, and culturally—but it remains largely a cipher to the West. Mark Edward Harris has had rare access to these two countries of great concern to the international community and has produced the first contemporary photographic books on cultures which are seldom seen or understood by outsiders. Come to the Council to hear world-renowned photographer Mark Edward Harris discuss his two latest compilations. The World Affairs Council of Northern California is honored to have dozens of these photographs at our headquarters. This program will include a stunning presentation by Mr. Harris, a question and answer session with the photographer, as well as hors d'oeuvres and wine.
