We are proud to bring Max Wolf Valerio, with sound by Timothy O'Neill, also featuring poetry by Aja Couchis Duncan at the Femina Potens Art Gallery. Max Wolf Valerio will be creating an evening of words and music that explore post-tribal Indian identity, fragmentation and transsexual transformation: Exile: Vision Quest at the Edge of Identity. For Exile, Max evokes traditional voices and creates new ones, using waking dreams and conversations with the spirits and characters of Blackfoot mythology in his readings. Timothy O'Neill will be creating a shimmering sound scape using natural and native sounds to enrich Max's words. Anja Couchois Duncan will summoning her alternate self while reading from her 26 poem series, Nomenclature, Miigaadiwin, a Forked Tongue
