International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, enacted by the United Nations, is a day to observe what is being done and what still needs to be done to help survivors rebuild their lives and to end torture. Join Survivors International for an arts-focused event that will kick off our Week of Healing. We plan to raise awareness about the struggles faced by survivors of torture, ensure there is adequate funding for torture treatment centers around the world to continue their work, and create stronger bonds within our Bay Area community.
