Celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall Rebellion with a reception for Bay Area contributors to this exciting new anthology. Featuring editor Tommi Avicolli Mecca, Merle Woo and others. The book includes almost 40 authors writing about their involvement in the radical groups that took the fight for queer rights and connected it to other social justice issues. Books will be available for sale and autographing.
Doors open at 6:15pm; delicious snack plates for a $5.00 donation. The event will be held at New Valencia Hall, 625 Larkin Street, Suite 202, San Francisco (located five blocks from the Civic Center BART station, and on the #19, 31, 38, 47 & 49 Muni bus lines). Radical Women is an optimistic, socialist feminist organization that educates and trains women leaders to tackle both survival necessities and the intangibles that make life worth living—bread and roses. Your help is needed to raise funds to make our continued organizing for a better world possible. If you are interested in helping to organize fundraising events, making calls, preparing mailings, cooking, hosting a house party, then give Anita a call at 415-864-1278 or come to Volunteer Nights on Wednesdays from 7:00-9:00pm at New Valencia Hall.
