The Freedom Socialist Party invites you to join a reading group focusing on the first twenty years of the CIO (Congress of Industrial Organizations). Participants will discuss passages from the book Labor’s Giant Step, which chronicles the explosive struggles and political battles leading to unions that spanned entire workplaces and positively changed the lives of the working class.

Date/Times: Every other Tuesday, beginning June 2 and ending September 8, 2009 at two times and locations:
(1) 5:30-7:00 pm in Berkeley and (2) 7:00-8:30 pm in San Francisco

Places: (1) Berkeley: UC Berkeley, Room 374-A Boalt Hall (School of Law)
(2) San Francisco: New Valencia Hall, 625 Larkin Street, Suite 202, in San Francisco
