June 26 is the Anniversary of the UN Convention Against Torture. With the April release of the Department of Justice "torture memo's" and our government's reluctance to hold a full investigation with the possibility of prosecution, this is a critical time to speak out for justice. The soul of our nation is at stake!

Panelists include:
Ray McGovern was a CIA analyst for 27 years, is co-founder of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity, and currently works at Tell the Word, the publishing arm of the ecumenical Church of the Savior in inner-city Washington, D.C..

Jean Maria Arrigo is a social psychologist and independent scholar. As a dissident member of the 2005 American Psychological Association Task Force on Psychological Ethics and National Security, Arrigo united with others to deter psychologists' involvement in torture.

David DeCosse (moderator) is the Director of Campus Ethics Program at the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics at Santa Clara University and teaches for their Religious Studies Department.

This event is sponsored by Council of Churches of Santa Clara County and Peninsula Peace and Justice Center
