Environmental youth movement rises up at Eco-Fest, encompasses impacted communities
June 6th, 2009, check out the SF Youth Unity Eco-Fest at the San Francisco Civic Center Plaza from 10am-6pm. Created by youth for youth, Eco-Fest is an environmental summit and green block party that will showcase student projects from the new Environmental Service Learning Initiative (ESLI) as well as celebrate youth involvement in the environmental movement. A bicycle-powered stage with music and an interactive Earth Pledge/art installation are just some of the many youth- and eco- friendly activities that will be held that day.
This event is supported and sponsored by the City and County of San Francisco, international human rights organization Global Exchange, ESLI, Youth Unity Coalition for Action Now (YU-CAN) and Community Education Services (CES).
