Uniting for justice in NUHW

Uniting for justice in NUHW
I have spent most of my life helping workers stand up for justice. Together with Cesar Chavez, I marched to help farmworkers in California's Central Valley win better wages.Dolores Huerta

I will be proud to be in the Valley next week to support Fresno homecare workers in joining NUHW. I'll be there when homecare providers rally to support their democratic union and stop the County's cuts to their wages.

Will you support them too, by volunteering at the link below?

A union's strength doesn't come from the top down. It comes from thousands of workers speaking together with one voice. That's why healthcare workers spoke out for more than a year to keep your union a democracy. And it's why workers like you have the power to win this election in Fresno.

Next week, I'll rally with NUHW activists who are working hard to protect homecare in Fresno and to keep their union strong. Will you stand with us by volunteering? One evening of phonebanking at a location near you, or one weekend of canvassing in Fresno, can make all the difference.

Homecare workers are standing up now for the same basic reason that farmworkers first stood up in 1965--they want dignity and democracy at work. Together we'll send a message of unity and determination to the Fresno Board of Supervisors and to SEIU.

Please join us!
