Tell Shell to Stop Gas Flaring in Nigeria and stand in Solidarity with the Nigerian Plaintiffs in New York
On May 19, Shell will hold its shareholder meeting in the Hague and London one week before they go on trial in NYC on May 26 for their complicity in the hanging of Ken Saro-Wiwa and his Ogoni colleagues in 1995. Join those in the Hague, London, DC and New York and around the world who are calling for an end to Shell’s climate crimes and human rights abuses!
The Ogoni people were calling for an end to toxic gas flaring and environmental restoration of their devastated lands. They were met with massacres of their people and the burning of their villages by the Nigerian military. Sadly, the violence and environmental destruction continue today.
Honor the legacy of Ken Saro-Wiwa and all of those who struggle for survival in the Niger Delta.
