Dead Aid
Dambisa Moyo, Head of Economic Research for Africa, Goldman Sachs; Author, Dead Aid: Why Aid is Not Working, and How There is a Better Way for Africa
The current system of aiding Africa is not working, says Moyo, citing the fact that more than $1 trillion in aid has been given in the past 50 years, with no improvement in most Africans's lives. Moyo proposes a complete overhaul in the way prosperous nations reach out to African countries in need, in an effort to end the cycle of corruption and co-dependence, and to alleviate the suffering that persists.
