An evening of peace panels, live music, theatre activities, food and community. This is an event of the CommuniTree Festival, a four day arts and ecology conference dedicated to environmental education, cultural awareness, and social justice.
"Peace Panels"
A moderated panel discussion on "Courage in the Face of Violence" with Emory Douglass (Slides of Black Panthers), Diamond Berry (Hard in the Paint), Nicole Lee (Urban Peace Movement), Alise Franklin (Grieving Mothers on a Mission), Vinny Ferraro (Mind Body Awareness)
Performances by:
Turf Unity, Turf Ministries
Youth Speaks: Brave New Voices
Activities Led in: Theater of the Oppressed by Jon Scott
Food Provided by: Cafe Gratitude, Mariposa Bakery, Awaken Cafe,
and Peets Coffee and Tea.
