Each year the student run Integrative Medicine Network at UCSF organizes a one-day conference, in which will be held on Saturday, May 9th (8am-6pm). We would like to cordially invite you to come to this one-day event. Our theme this year is “Maintaining Balance in Times of Change”. In these challenging times with many feeling the pressure from the economic downtown at the workplace and at home, our stress levels dramatically increase, and we may sometimes forget our body, mind and health. This year’s conference focuses on stress reduction and increasing awareness of mind-body connections.
We have the good fortune to have two nationally recognized keynote speakers to come speak at the forum: Dr. Jim Gordon, Founder and Director of Center for Mind-Body Medicine, and former Chairman of the White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicine Policy; and Dr. Martin Rossman, Founder of Academy of Guided Imagery.
We are both excited about organizing the conference, and feel that many in our community will benefit from this event.
If you are interested in the forum, please register online at http://www.ucsf.edu/imn. It costs $30 to attend the event, with breakfast and lunch included. Realizing these hard economic times, we have tried very hard to keep the cost low.
